c. 2003 Alexander McQueen by Lee Alexander McQueen 'Irere' Collection black silk bias cut button embellished gown. One-shoulder dress with pearlescent hand-beaded embellishments forming curved wave pattern throughout [rare one-of-one sample]. Fabric Contents: 100% Silk (liquid silk) with 100% Silk lining. Concealed back zip closure that curves at back (very rare, haute couture-level construction). Similar button detailing on jackets on S/S 2003 'Irere' Collection runway. In very good vintage condition with light wear throughout (slight spotting at hemline and underarms, and light pulling throughout; minor seam splitting at front). Missing very few button embellishments (unnoticeable when worn).
Measurements
Marked size EU 44. Best fits size US 4 - 8 depending on desired fit due to bias cut construction. Weight of embellishments throughout makes dress fall smoothly on different sizing.
Pit to Pit: Up to 19" (38" when worn)
Waist: 14" lying flat (28" when worn); accommodates up to 18" (36" when worn)
Hip: 16.2" lying flat (32.4" when worn); accommodates up to 21.5" (43" when worn)
