A/W 1995 Jean Paul Gaultier 'Mad Maxette' Collection green 'sleeping bag' RUNWAY SAMPLE strapless gown. Extremely rare strapless padded 'sleeping bag' inspired quilted dress with yellow interior, featuring boning at bodice and detachable back train (attached with velcro down side and back). Double-zip silver-tone back closure. An extremely rare piece, as seen famously on the runway on Helena Christensen; note that this is the exact runway sample. In good vintage condition with discoloration throughout interior and exterior; has been taken to couture cleaner and will arrive ready to wear, in best possible restored condition. The markings add to the patina of the garment. 'Tire' marks throughout front are likely intentional to design or part of sample history, with motorcycles used prominently in the runway show.
