c. 1973 Halston black silk charmeuse bias cut halter gown. Fitted black gown with deep v-neck and long, pointed ties around neck, connected at gathered straps (with thin back strap). Open scoop back and high-low effect with shorter back and longer front hemline. Contrasting silk and crepe silk paneling (two different sides of same fabric) creates intricate gradation on body - as created by single piece of fabric in quintessential, rare 1970's Halston style. Similar featured on runway. In excellent vintage condition with no flaws to note. Note that front image is shown with back strap only for clarity on front silhouette.
